Scope

Parity Error Games ("we," "us," or "our") operates www.parityerrorgames.com. This policy applies to that website and to information you choose to send directly to the studio through the contact methods listed on it.

A game, storefront, community platform, or other service may have its own privacy notice when its data practices differ from this website.

Information we receive

Information you choose to provide

If you email us or communicate with us through a linked community service, we may receive your name, email address or account name, the contents of your message, and any other information you choose to include.

Basic technical information

The current website does not use accounts, analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies. When the website is hosted, the hosting provider or content-delivery network may automatically process standard server-log information such as:

  • IP address and approximate network location;
  • browser, device, and operating-system information;
  • requested pages, referring page, date, and time; and
  • security events, errors, and diagnostic information.

This technical processing is commonly necessary to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot a website. The exact server-log practices may depend on the hosting provider used at the time.

11

How we use information

We may use the limited information described above to:

  • respond to messages, questions, press inquiries, or support requests;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website;
  • understand and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents;
  • maintain appropriate business correspondence and records; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to respond to your request, with your consent, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the studio website, or to comply with law.

100

When information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information only when reasonably necessary:

  • to vendors that help provide hosting, email, security, or other operational services, subject to appropriate obligations;
  • to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request;
  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of the studio, our community, or others; or
  • as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of studio assets, with appropriate notice where required.

101

Retention

We keep direct correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, protect the studio, or satisfy legal obligations. The hosting provider may retain technical logs according to its own security and retention settings.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

110

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

To make a request, email info@parityerrorgames.com. We may need to verify your request before completing it. You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.

The current site has no marketing mailing list, behavioral advertising, or analytics opt-out because those systems are not in use.

111

Third-party services

The website links to Discord and may later link to game storefronts, social platforms, or other external services. Following an external link leaves our website. Those services control their own data practices, and their privacy policies apply to your interactions with them.

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party services. Review their policies before providing personal information.

1000

Children's privacy

This studio website is not designed to solicit personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

1001

Security and international access

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The website can be accessed internationally. Information may be processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.

1010

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the website, studio, or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted where required.
